Named for the Three Fates and the Three Graces in Greek Mythology, Infinite Twist Fates and Graces are three-packs of cake-dyed gradient yarns. They are sisters (from the same dye lot), but not triplets. Each cake is 200 yards long, and knits up into five unique stripes. Variegated, speckled, or semi-solid, each stripe brings something new to your needles. To showcase these gorgeous gradients, Infinite Twist has worked up an easy Bias Scarf Kit featuring Fates and Graces. If you can k2tog and m1, you can knit this scarf!Perfect for purse- or travel-knitting, and available in the Infinite Twist shop.

Gigi has been looking through the UFO bin for a sweater project. She did modifications to the  Waters Edge to make it a dropped waist style, and it looks awful. Jasmin volunteered to take it off her hands.

Jasmin started her first pair of mittens! The Love Still Wins mittens from Infinite Twist, benefiting Lambda Legal Defense. She likes the nostepinne that Twinsetjan sent her

Gigi is working on another bear preemie hat. She heard about the Itty Bitty Bear Hats pattern from Paula of the Knitting Pipeline podcast, We discuss googly eyes

Review:(43:30)
This week we review
by Bonnie Parker

Tour de Fleece Training:(53:15)
Week 5: Clean your wheel
Dust, use oil soap, wood conditioner (if appropriate) wood beams ,or this from Brittany. Get all the fiber and yuck out of the gears/metal bits. Always wipe the maiden clean and oil (we really like oil pens) between uses to keep stuff from collecting there. Jasmin likes shop towels (the blue paper towels) for spinning. Jasmin also likes Akerworks bobbins

And Sew On:(57:50)

Gigi cut draw strings for project bags, and had Genevieve help pull them through. They got two stacks done.

  1. As for crocheted cables, I wonder if cables might be more stable in crochet? Knitted cables are beautiful, but I've found they tend to flatten out after a few washings. I think crochet might hold it's shape better.
