We'd like you to meet two very special yarns, Lily and Lotus!  Both yarns are a luscious blend of yak, merino, and silk. They are naturally a light grey color, quite lovely as they are, but we just can't stop ourselves from putting lots of bright color on top. Overdyeing the grey mutes our brights just a little, making them richer and oh, so wearable. Lily is a worsted weight 4-ply with a very round structure that makes cables and textures pop. Lily's little sister Lotus is fingering weight with a tight twist. Perfect for socks, scarves, sweaters, or anything. Get Lily and Lotus at AbstractFiber.com

Jasmin has been working on the poly Chevron cowl, out of Black Trillium Fibres.

Gigi had been working on her Fancy Zebra cowl #zebralong #LuxAdornaKnits. Her needles were dull and made the knitting challenging. She found a set of circular Pyrex needles from Sheila Ernst and her knitting is flying now. Jasmin also knitted her Three Color Cowl out of LuxAdornaKnits yarn.

Gigi finished three preemie hats out of leftover sock yarn/ swap yarn.
Jasmin has finished the Sunflower beret, from Ann Norling #30, for #25000tuques #newhomenewhat

When Knitting Attacks:(41:14)

She also liked the bucket book. LINK?

Also, we answered a question about kids learning to spin. Gigi mentions Respect The Spindle.

When Knitting Attacks:(45:31)

Gigi was working on the Peppermint Mocha socks and noticed that she had a hard time counting to four. She also managed to have different numbers of stitches on the top and bottom of her Vanilla socks, and had to rip back to the beginning of the toe.

She was working on hats and the tip of her brand new needle sheared off.

Jasmin was working on her poly Chevron cowl, out of Black Trillium Fibres. She messed up the pattern so thoroughly that Gigi ended up pulling back five rows.

Also, the Landon pullover is too tight to go over Rex's  head, so she will put in a zipper. She also mentions Shetland. And Grantchester, both tv shows. (There's a thread about Shetland in our Ravelry group here.)

You probably attend an event at least once a year. Sometimes events are all about shopping, but more often than not, events are a combination of shopping and education. When attending a show that combines classes and market place, shopping literally becomes dashes between classes. Time is short that your plan includes the necessary pit stop (crossing your fingers for short lines) and visits to my favorite or new vendor spot.
As a vendor, we do our best to bring the right amount of scents and products. We are thrilled when we have the product or scent you are looking for, but sometimes there is a sudden run on your favorite scent or product and the person in front of you just bought the last one. Being left wanting after waiting just stinks!
Wait and want no more because we've created the Easy Peasy Product Reservation. It's so simple and fast, you’ll LOVE the experience!
Go to our web site: www.Bar-Maids.com for directions, and we'll even text you a reminder during the event!

On The Needles:(0:35)

Jasmin's cowl surgery is done, and the Austen cowl is finished. She mentions Ysolda Teague's brilliant "Make the long tail manageable by folding it multiple times before threading the needle." method for her 180 stitches worth of Kitchener stitch.

Gigi finished knitting on six preemie hats. Jasmin has ideas for helping her get more preemie hats done.

Jasmin is making good progress on the Spock sweater. It is even easier than the Bifrost scarf. She is also excited about working on the Coronation cardigan, it feels close to being done.

Gigi finished yet another pair of Opal Socks.

Jasmin finished the Landon pullover for Rex. (Lisa Souza and Cooperative Press are offering discounts on Boys Knits and yarn, check the project page.)

Gigi has two more FOs, she has knit two Propeller hats from Woolly Wormhead, out of Infinite Twist Helix Yarn.

Jasmin has cast on the poly Chevron cowl , out of Black Trillium Fibres, she mentions her Boneyard.
Gigi has cast on the Peppermint Mocha socks out of Coffee with C.C.

Mother Knows Best:(22:33)

This week we answer a question from the "What do you want to hear about?" thread in the forum
about reclaiming yarn from thrifted sweaters. Jasmin thinks that Judith McKenzie McCuin may teach a class on this.

When Knitting Attacks:(27:06)

Gigi dropped a number of stitches. Also, she thought she didn't need to use stitch markers. That showed her!
While watching Grantchester, Jasmin was too distracted to pay attention to her knitting.

Knitting Fabric Rugs by Karen Tiede . We didn't find her offering a class on Craftsy
Martelli rotary cutter was suggested for cutting thrifted clothes.
