On the Needles: (00:34)
Gigi has finished knitting the Two Old Bags felted Christmas tree ornaments, but hasn't felted them yet. Gigi is working on Sam's Sharks scarf. Jasmin has cast on a Pogona scarf (in WestKnits Book 1 by Stephen West) out of the 70% Superwash Merino/ 30% Silk (Metamorphosis) from A Verb for Keeping Warm in "Indigo Blue Sky".
Jasmin also mentions the Rick sock by Cookie A. Jasmin has joined the sleeves to the body on her Cece cardigan. We talk about Gigi 2011 and Jasmin 2011. We mention Knitting for Anarchists, and thank Paula from the Knitting Pipeline podcast for getting us to read the Elizabeth Zimmermann books.

Holidays with the Knitmores: (27:16)
We do a holiday wrap-up. (HA! Get it?!) Jasmin mentions the blog post about Gigi's sewing machine. We had a great time playing Scotland Yard.
Just wanted to say thank you and to tell you how much I appreciate listening to your warm and cozy, informative and interesting podcast. Both of you. I am a come to knitting late in life (52) mom of 4 boys/men, who, do not share my love of knitting and craft. I also live in the UK, far from my own mom in NY (who doesn't knit by the way but does LOVE to accompany me to yarn shops when I visit!)So, I hope you can see that I look forward to getting out my own knitting and listening to the two of you...I often feel like I'm sitting at the table having a coffee with you, which is a lovely feeling.ReplyDelete
Talking about front-loading washers, I have one too but was interested to hear on "Stash and Burn" about a fairly inexpensive counter-top washer that you can use to felt stuff. The Wonderwash is one and it is on Amazon.ReplyDelete
