Named for the Three Fates and the Three Graces in Greek Mythology, Infinite Twist Fates and Graces are three-packs of cake-dyed gradient yarns. They are sisters (from the same dye lot), but not triplets. Each cake is 200 yards long, and knits up into five unique stripes. Gigi has had a crazy week with very little  knitting


Jasmin and Genevieve finalized the design on the Te Fiti sweater.


Gigi is working on another bear preemie hat litter of preemie bear cubs.
She heard about the Itty Bitty Bear Hats pattern from Paula of the Knitting Pipeline podcast,


Jasmin has made some progress on the Love Still Wins mittens from Infinite Twist, benefiting Lambda Legal Defense.




She has an eggplant color purple from Lisa Souza for Rex.


Jasmin is on the green stripe of her Resistance Hat by Krista Nelson out of the Marriage Equality Gradient from Neighborhood Fiber Co. Other changes include : an added orange stripe (no hate - no ban - no wall), adding “she persisted” to the red stripe, and “love is love” to the rainbow crown.


Jasmin mentions Alison Hyde.


Jasmin worked on the La Belle et la Bete cowl from Little Skein in the Big Wool while watching the new Beauty and the Beast.


Gigi knitted some more on the Beastkeeper shawl  with yarn from Twisted Owl Fiber Studio


Jasmin is trying to jump start her sock mojo with a skein of “Plastic Pony” self striping from Asfaltsflickandesign for #operationsockdrawer and #sockschool2017

Jasmin is drooling over Pintslices.

Gigi has been looking through the UFO bin for a sweater project. She did modifications to the  Waters Edge to make it a dropped waist style, and it looks awful. Jasmin volunteered to take it off her hands.

Jasmin started her first pair of mittens! The Love Still Wins mittens from Infinite Twist, benefiting Lambda Legal Defense. She likes the nostepinne that Twinsetjan sent her

Jasmin is redid the edging and needs to  do the grosgrain ribbon and buttons on the Sideways Dude cardigan out of Dragonfly Fibres Traveller in “Horton Hears a Who”.

Week 5: Clean your wheel
Dust, use oil soap, wood conditioner (if appropriate) wood beams ,or this from Brittany. Get all the fiber and yuck out of the gears/metal bits. Always wipe the maiden clean and oil (we really like oil pens) between uses to keep stuff from collecting there. Jasmin likes shop towels (the blue paper towels) for spinning. Jasmin also likes Akerworks bobbins

Gigi cut draw strings for project bags, and had Genevieve help pull them through. They got two stacks done.

Gigi has finished the Sidewalk sweater. The Three needle bind-off was tricky.

Jasmin has finished the knitting on the Lionheart sweater for Rex out of Abstract Fiber Calder in “Diversity” and “Saffron”. Jasmin likes the OXO sweater dryers.

Gigi kitchenered the  Bias Cowl out of yarn from the Neighborhood Fiber Company.  She wound yarn for two more, one out of Oink Pigments in Wine Knot Cabernet Sauvignon the other one is a black from A Hundred Ravens.  The oil slick beads did not work.
