On The Needles:(:35)
Gigi is working on the 1000 Tulips shawl by Martina Behm #Behmalong, out of Rohrspatz und Wollmeise yarn.
Jasmin finished the Lina hat #25000Tuques
Gigi isn't happy with the quality of workmanship on her last hat, she will rip it out and reknit it.
Jasmin started another hat, the Queenie. She complained that Sam hat picked the Turn a Square Hat , which she has knitted already, instead of picking something new to her. She loves the Woolly Wormhead Hats, and has ordered yarn from White Birch Fiber Arts, in the color Travel Agent For Guilt Trips.
Gigi has been working on the mesh border of her Viajante #Behmalong
Jasmin has been working on the Coronation cardigan for Genevieve, and has picked up the Elsa gloves for Genevieve again.
Gigi is almost done with the pink Kroy sock yarn socks.
Jasmin made a bit of progress on the Spock sweater. She also started another little sweater for Rex, the Landon Sweater out of Boys' Knits.
Gigi has been wearing handknit socks, and her pilly v-neck. Genevieve borrowed her Grey Citron.
Genevieve wore the Elsa cardigan, the Elsa hat, and the Kapuzin hoodie.
caterpillar cardigan , Debbie bliss open front cardigan and the baby mine cardigan,
Rex wore his Baby Vertebrae, and the Baby Puerperium that Cchellez knit.
Gigi had been planning to wear a pair of socks from Hunter Hammersen's Knitters Curiosity Cabinet, but can't find shirts to match.
We will be attending Stitches West, February 18-21, at the Santa Clara Convention Center.
Emily from the Knitting Butterflies Podcast, and Boston Jen from the Down Cellar Studio podcast will also attend, as well as Joanna Johnson, who writes lovely childrens' books with adorable critters in knitwear.

Mother Knows Best:(27:47)
This week we answer two questions from the "What do you want to hear about?" thread in the forum, one about our list of excellent books to buy and knitting for the dogs.
Jasmin mentions Spinrite Patons A Dog's Life
When Knitting Attacks:(34:29)
Jasmin is working on Genevieve's gloves, and the outline of Genevieve's hands seems to have been gifted as artwork. Also, she had knitted the pinky too tight, as they found out when they tried it on. Frog and do over.
This week we review Gertie's Ultimate Dress Book
We also mention Sew Many Dresses, Sew Little Time
And Sew On:(49:50)
Gigi bought woven and knitted interfacing at JoAnne's in quantity.
Also, she bought a panel of advent stockings at her local quilt store, and doing assembly line construction, and she is posting pictures of the process onto Facebook and Instagram. We are trying to figure out what to put in them for Genevieve, since candy and sweets turn her into a gremlin, and itty bitty toys are a choking hazard.
This was a delightful podcast. I chuckled out loud. You two are the best!ReplyDelete
There could be a few 'coupons' for Genevieve? A coupon for baking time, one for arts with mom/dad/gran? Just random ideas. My kids love those.ReplyDelete
Or if you want a few real gifts, could be art material? I used to get those out once in a while with them to get through them. But really could be a good idea.
