Knitcircus Yarns is pleased as punch to present the Gradient Yoke Sweater Pattern, designed by Amy Detjen. This sweater gives you an exciting and unusual construction; a top-down v-neck raglan. Designed to make the most of a self-striping handpaint, the yoke uses just one skein of gradient yarn, surrounded by coordinating kettle dyes for the body and sleeves. Let our yarn do the color changes for you!

On The Needles:(0:35)

Jasmin has something new on the needles and is very excited, we got a package to review, with the Whizzpopper and Trouvaille kits, from the Knit Girllls. Jasmin cast on the Whizzpopper as soon as we opened the package.

Gigi usually likes to have a sweater, a shawl and socks on the needles.

Gigi had knitted the Water's Edge out of Abstract Fiber's Rothko for herself, and the  Mini Water's Edge out of Abstract Fiber's Calder #matchymatchyKAL for Genevieve.

She had finished herfinished knitting the Wild Iris cowl from the Book of Cowls by Sivia Harding, out of Bijou Basin Ranch's Himalayan Trail in the "Sassenach" colorway #kiltmenowKAL.

Gigi also finished the "Je suis prest"colorway Vanilla socks, from Gingertwist Studio in Edinburgh which lives in her tartan bag from the Caithness Craft Collective #kiltmenowKAL.

So without any knitting, she knitted a bunch of preemie hats out of left over sock yarn. She also has cast on socks for Genevieve.

She went excavating in Area 51, and she found a cardigan that needs work, she found the Lorelei cowl, and she exhumed a mostly knit white Einstein coat.

Jasmin mentions a yoked cardigan by Hannah Fettig, that one of the Knitting Aunties knitted for Genevieve.

Jasmin is almost finished with the Barberry Cardigan (for Genevieve) out of Abstract Fiber Calder (in the "Saffron" colorway). #matchymatchyKAL #projectsweaterchest.  And the girls went zipper shopping.

Jasmin has a basket of knits that need to have labels sewn in, or sleeves lengthened, or zippers put in.

In Stitches:(11:15)

Jasmin wore her Mondo Cable cardi, out of Abstract Fiber Miro, and her Looped Loop cowl.

Genevieve wore her color block sweater, her Little Oak Cardigan ("Squirrel sweater"), and her Playful Stripes cardigan ("Annie Sweater", from Annie and the Swiss Cheese Scarf).

Mother Knows Best:(24:53)

This week we answer questions out of the "What do you want to hear about?" thread about
how to deal with sloppy necklines.
We mention Lucy Neatby

When Knitting Attacks:(32:11)

Gigi was ready to block the Mini Waters Edge cardigan, and decided she didn't like how the neck edge looked. So she ripped it out, and is re-knitting the edging.

Also, she tried on her own  Water's Edge out of Abstract Fiber's Rothko and finds that she lengthened the bodice and has thrown off the proportions. She is thinking of lengthening her bodice. Also, lengthening Genevieve's sleeves.

Review:(37:27)

This week we review Graphic Knits, by Alexis Winslow

Jasmin mentions Kauni, and she refers to the knit, Swirl! cardigan

Straw into Gold:(47:34)

Gigi has been spinning a bit on her Matchless.  Also, she has been plying on the Jenkins Turkish Delight drop spindle.

We mention Galina's Support Spindling class "Spinning Gossamer Threads The Yarns of Orenburg"

Jasmin thinks Gigi needs suggestions as to what to use her bits of handspun for.

And Sew On:(52:09)

Gigi is working on Frozen Nightgown III,  Butterick Patterns B4910 and has cut fabric for yet another one out of monkey print flannel.

Jasmin and Genevieve went to the fabric store and bought a zipper and matching thread.
