Want a great deal on a great yarn?  Check out our Calder special!  We got a deal on giant, 10 ounce skeins of this wonderful sportweight SuperWash merino, and we are passing that deal on to you. Just one skein will make a child size sweater or baby blanket. Two to three for an adult. This special us only available until these skeins are gone, so hop on over to and grab some up for yourself!
Lo-Lo Baby, available in Soft Vanilla, Lavender Dreams, and Plain and Simple has been a big hit among OBGYN staff, new moms, daycare personnel, and men over 60. A swipe on the diaper area, a bit for massage, or something to help with cradle cap we understand but why are men buying this?  So we asked…we had to. And they told us. They are buying Lo-Lo Baby and using it for itch, heat, and chafing in their southern hemisphere. We pressed on with our somewhat awkward questions and we found out that while they loved Lo-Lo Baby, they wanted two things to be different, the label and a cooling element. Along came Southern Comfort.  Don’t let the moustache on the label lead you think it’s only for men.  Women are buying it as well.  And yes, we asked.  And we were told they're using it for the same reasons, through they used different words like, friction and rash. Southern Comfort is ideal for those that bike (pedal or motor), those that wear skirts and no pantyhose, and those that could just use some comfort in their Southern Hemisphere. Southern Comfort is for external use only. To buy local, visit or purchase on-line.

On The Needles:(0:34)

Gigi has started on her Finishing Friday routine and has blocked the Color Affection she knitted for kid brother Sam. Jasmin worked on her TEFKAKO project, which was to finish the Eadon. She is very pleased with the results, and loves doing mattress stitch.

Gigi is still working on her Dr. Watson sweater and is slowly making progress.

For #operationsockdrawer, Jasmin is working on socks out of Hardtwist, in the Blueflame colorway,  and enjoying it very much, and she is working on the  Dark Side of the Moon socks by Fab Funky Fibres.

Gigi is working on a pair of vanilla socks in Loops and Threads, in the Cynthia variation, and a pair of vanilla socks out of Fluoromania by Regia.

Jasmin is working on her matchy-matchy Kal, the Barberry cardigan. She is knitting one for herself out of Rothko, and one for Genevieve out of Calder, both by Abstract Fiber.

We will be attending:
- June 7th, Fleeces, Food and Fun, at the Retzlaff Winery

In Stitches:(18:14)

Gigi wore her Lady Elenor. Genevieve wore her Annie sweater. Jasmin mentions Annie and the Swiss Cheese Scarf, out of Cascade 220 Superwash. Gigi mentions Grandma's Secret Spot Remover.

Genevieve and Jasmin also snuggled under the Loveblanket, and Jasmin is thinking about knitting the Vivid. Genevieve also wore an alpaca hat that one of our listerners made.

Gigi borrowed Jasmin's Looped Loop shawl, and Jasmin wore her Boneyard shawl, her Knitmore Citron and her handspun Seneca, by Brooklyn Tweed. Gigi also wore her Eliina.

Mother Knows Best:(25:32)

This week we anwer a question out of the "What do you want to hear about?" thread, about what to do with a felted sock.

When Knitting Attacks:(30:16)

Jasmin has had a hard time with the assembly of her Eadon. She mentions Genevieve's Little Oak sweater.

Gigi had bought the wrong blocking wires, which worked out well when blocking her shawl.

Gigi had a giant hole in her sock and discovered the Twist Collective sock darning technique. (scroll down to the pink sock with the lime green darning)

This week we review Interpretations, by Joji Locatelli and Veera Välimäki

Straw Into Gold:(58:54)

Gigi is attending Spin U at Purlescence and is learning to spin thicker yarn now. A thank you for the Spinner's Control Card to Leslie!
