On the Needles:(0:33)
 Jasmin is working on the hood on the Lionheart sweater for Rex out of Abstract Fiber Calder in “Diversity” and “Saffron”.

Gigi is working on the collar of the Sidewalk sweater. The hem is done and bound off! And the neckline is half picked up.

Jasmin cast on the Jeweled Cowl by knittimo out of Buffalo Wool Company's Sexy yarn in their "Happy Little Trees" PBS benefit colorway in conjunction with Pawley studio, who did a mug to go with it.


Gigi wound yarn for another Bias Cowl out of yarn since she finished the cowl out of yarn from the Neighborhood Fiber Company.  It is perfect for watching tv,  and nap time. She wound yarn for two more, one out of Oink Pigment in Wine Knot Cabernet Sauvignon (?) the other one is a black from A Hundred Ravens.

Jasmin has made some progress on the body of the Hearthstone pullover by Ysolda Teague in Twisted Owl “Eye Searing Pink”.

 Jasmin gushes about Shannon Okey's newest Patreon sweater design (Chelonia) as well as the bias-knit Cosi sweater that is knitted on the bias.

Jasmin talks about editing the interview with Jill Draper, and the yarn we spun for the SPAKAL, and the Calligraphy cardigan. Also, she has a sweaters worth of handspun, and she thinks she wants to knit this Alana Dakos sweater out of it.

Gigi knitted  some more on the Beastkeeper shawl  with yarn from Twisted Owl Fiber Studio. She is really enjoying the colors.   

Gigi has finished the instant coffee socks by C.C. Almon, and she cast on another pair of socks out of Regia.

Gigi is working on another preemie hat. She heard about the Itty Bitty Bear Hats pattern from Paula of the Knitting Pipeline podcast, and has started one.

In Stitches:(22:28)
Conquering Mt. Knitmore. Gigi finished washing sweaters for storage. Now that she is done washing, she wants to take a Gleener to them to remove the pills.

She also wants to block her stash of finished shawls.

Spinning at the Retzlaff Winery: Missed it. But Jasmin is on the trail of Mary, the sheep for, more fleece for a Hiro sweater for Andrew. She mentions Morro Fleece Works.

Week 3: Spin 1 oz to test wheel/fiber

Gigi has a Loop batt that she wants to use. Jasmin suggests spinning it as a single. She suggests reading the article in Ply magazine. Also, Jasmin has been spinning on the device to practice. Join Team Sasquatch.

Jasmin messed up the direction on her Device. She now has 2 plies of Z spun singles and 1 ply of S spun single. Solution is to run the S spun single through again on Z before plying.
Jasmin also spun the Edward batt, and some of the Abby silk on her Device.

Gigi is planning to sew preemie shirts. She downloaded patterns from twentyfiveandfour.com (patterns range from 1lb to 7.5).

She copied the patterns onto Swedish pattern paper, cut out a few shirts out of Frozen themed flannel.

One minute health update
Gigi is working on the body of the Sidewalk sweater. Hem is done and bound off! And the neckline is half picked up.

Jasmin needs to redo the crochet edging and do the grosgrain ribbon and buttons on the Sideways Dude cardigan out of Dragonfly Fibres Traveller in “Horton Hears a Who”.

Gigi is working on another Bias Cowl out of yarn by the Neighborhood Fiber Company.  It is perfect for watching tv,  and nap time. She got a lot done during knitting group. And there isn't a lot a lot of yarn left.

Jasmin is working on the hood on the Lionheart sweater for Rex out of Abstract Fiber Calder in “diversity” and “saffron”. She is thinking about knitting Joji Locatelli's Heartstrings next.

Jasmin has swatched for the Hei Hei sweater for Rex out of Knitmona DK.

Gigi knitted more on the Beastkeeper shawl  with yarn from Twisted Owl Fiber Studio. The first set of colors is done. She is really enjoying the colors.   

Jasmin has finished the sleeves on the Hearthstone pullover by Ysolda Teague in Twisted Owl “Eye Searing Pink”.

Gigi is working on the instant coffee socks by C.C. Almon, has finished the foot of the second sock. She is almost done with the second heel.


Genevieve and Jasmin have been discussing the Te Fiti sweater.  

Gigi has finished knitting a preemie beanie, and is working on another preemie hat.

Gigi is planning to sew preemie shirts. She downloaded patterns from twentyfiveandfour.com (patterns range from 1lb to about 7.5 lbs in seven different sizes), printed them out and made plastic templates.

Copied patterns on them, and cut them with the all purpose scissors. She can't cut around them with rotary cutters, curves are too tight. She is thinking of getting some interfacing to use as a re-useable pattern . Sturdy, and somewhat sheer. And she can pin into it.

Got quilting template sheets to make sturdy patterns. Friend brought me a set of clear plastic cutting boards. Copied patterns on them, and is going to cut them with the all purpose scissors.
