Please tell us about your lying swatches.
Jasmin prefers Talenti Gelato containers for washing her swatches; Treat Ice Cream containers for washing
larger things.
Last week We talked  about he amazing dinosaur sweaters from Nicky Epstein.  Didn't find it on ravelry,
but found something similar and amazing

When Knitting Attacks:(37:40)
Gigi didn’t swatch for the Fantastic Beasts cowl.  Didn’t like the density of the fabric.
Swatched on the piece with smaller needles, so she frogged and started over.
Gigi mentions the Sewing Out Loud podcast.
Jasmin knits one night, tinks the next.

This week we review  Travel Knits For the Family, Volume I by Kate Bostwick

And Sew On:(43:16)
Gigi’s is taking the beginning sewing class at West Valley College. She loves it.
The book they are using is Sewing For the Apparel Industry, by Claire Shaeffer.
Quiz every week, lot of different samples. Turned in skirt, loved the technique for sewing the waist facing.
Used the blind hemmer.
Sewed a t shirt, used the cover stitch machine.  Copied the sloper for the A- line skirt.
Last project is a camp shirt with techniques for matching stripes.
Cut the shirt, thread marked (so efficient!) pocket and button placement

New technical term. Plaid refers to stripes that run at a 90 degree angle to the warp.
