On The Needles:(0:33)

Jasmin is knitting yet another Playful Stripes cardigan for Genevieve, and there is another one in the works for Beanzilla.

Gigi has gotten to the underarms on her Selvedges cardigan. Jasmin is loving the fabric that is knitting up for the Little Baby sweater with yarn from Berry Colorful Yarning. Jill Draper has some good advice about using The Opinionated Knitter by Elizabeth Zimmerman. We are excited and scared about having watched Jurassic World movie, and Jasmin successfully used the RunPee app.

Gigi has finished a pair of socks out of Regia 6-ply yarn, and two preemie hats. She has also cast on again the cuff of her Geek socks and is loving the Fractal Danger shawlette, and is making slow progress on her Viajante #Behmalong, #beadsandlace2015.

When Knitting Attacks:(23:42)

Gigi was attacked by her Fractal Danger twice. Jasmin had issues with the battery cable for the RAVPower® Xtreme Battery for her Hansen Minispinner.

Jasmin mentions Stephen West's new spring Style collection, and XRX's Knit One Below

Review:(27:31)

This week we review Knitting Brioche-Stitch Socks: 14 Easy Patterns for Tube Socks by Barbara Sander

Straw Into Gold:(34:10)

Gigi is spinning the grey that she bought at the Monterey Wool Auction and had processed by Morro Fleece Works.

Jasmin has spun 200g of her Corriedale hogget, from Out-back Farm, on her Hansen minispinner. She is using photography ideas from Down Cellar Studio and Knitting Butterflies podcasts

And Sew On:(40:01)

Gigi is working on muslins for a master pattern for the dresses out of Sew Many Dresses, Sew Little Time: by Tanya Whelan

  1. I bought the Sew Many Dresses book after hearing about it on the podcast. I haven't started working with it and probably won't for a while as I need to set up a sewing area, but I do appreciate Gigi's followup on the book. I'd love to hear more about it as she continues to work with the book and patterns. Some video clips showing the process would be great as I haven't sewn for a long time and I've never adjusted patterns before. I've also got a body that requires one size for the bodice and a different size for the skirt, so I will probably need to do quite a bit of adjusting - which is a teensy bit scary. Thanks for a great podcast!
